Partnering with BC Parks Rangers and First Nations Guardians

BC Parks Foundation

The BC Conservation Fund supports conservation and Indigenous stewardship efforts across the province by working with communities, First Nations, governments, and other partners. Through these partnerships we look to build capacity and outcomes that will last.

One of ways we are supporting this important work is by partnering with BC Parks for joint training for BC Parks Rangers and First Nation’s Guardians.

Guardians are protectors of the land, and the “eyes and ears on the ground” for Indigenous communities. They help ensure the protection of ecosystems and support the continued cultural connection between First Nations communities and the natural landscape.

The Ranger and Guardian training at Manning Park brought together Ranger candidates and Guardian’s from First Nations communities across BC, giving them the opportunity to learn, grown, and support the land together.

We are happy to share this video that shows this important and beneficial training, that will help support BC now, and forever.
