BC Parks Foundation is excited to announce the transition from the interim BC Conservation Fund Committee to a permanent BC Conservation Fund Oversight Committee. While some existing committee members will transition to the new committee, we now have space for additional individuals with relevant expertise and commitment to conservation. As a member, you’ll play a vital role providing the BC Parks Foundation Board with recommendations on the implementation and ongoing refinement of the Conservation Fund including ensuring it supports projects that protect and enhance BC’s unique biodiversity and ecosystems.
We’re looking for individuals with diverse experience and skills related to the Fund's purposes including the following areas:
Biodiversity and Climate Science
Natural Resource and Environmental Law and Policy
Business and Economy
Technology
Philanthropy and Financing
Strategic Communications and Government Relations
Governance and/or Co-Governance
Traditional Ecological Knowledge
Fund Management
A minimum of half of the committee members will be individuals who are First Nations people with experience and/or expertise in Indigenous approaches and perspectives on conservation in British Columbia.
